I understand in a very personal way, the importance of portraits. The impact they will have on your family for years to come is always at the forefront of my creativity. At a very tender age my mother passed away leaving behind only a few small photographs of the two of us together. I cherish those portraits and realize that because of them I have a greater connection to my mother.
I have been a portrait photographer since 2005 and have been blessed to work with countless families around the world. I am adding to my journey with you 2 degrees in counselling. I am beginning my Masters of counselling psychology as we speak.
Relationships are important to me and if I can help bring your family closer in our time together, then that is even sweeter still.
My promise to my clients is that I will ensure that the portraits we create together will be significant in the moment and all the more meaningful for years to come.
I create imagery and sessions that RESONATE, INVITE VULNERABLE CONNECTION & INTIMACY, JOY, SACREDNESS
Allison is an award winning photographer who has been specializing in portraiture for over 10 years. Allison has a reputation for creating hauntingly simple yet impactful portraits, making the seemingly regular, extra ordinary. She is also one of only a few photographers in Canada to have the skills and knowledge to create ambrotypes and alumnitypes (photographic process from the 1870’s).Her artistic mission is to blend historic and alternative processes together, challenging convention, telling an impactful, & memorable story without words.
