I do not offer a singular approach to healing because your needs are not that easily defined. So, I use a multi-formatted approach that is crafted to suit your unique situation. You and I will work together at your pace in a safe, non-judgmental environment. You will come to think of your therapy session as an oasis of healing. One of the first things I do is help you develop trust in the process, in me as your guide, and in your own feelings. You will develop an increased ability to speak about what is really affecting you; you will begin to utilize the healing strategies we formulate; and you will feel the pressure of your problems gradually ease as you start taking ownership of your own healing process

Transpersonal counselling adds a spiritual component to modern psychology. It uses a humanistic, positive approach to healing by exploring your whole makeup – social, spiritual, emotional, intellectual, and physical. It’s a proven, highly-successful method for emotional expansion. I also utilize a combination of Family Systems & Attachment theory, Somatic work, Gestalt Techniques, A.E.D.P (Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy), and more, all with a Client- Centered Approach. I hold you in the highest positive regard while you make the decisions about what direction your sessions take.
I also incorporate biopsychosocial assesments to help define and pinpoint the compounding difficulties that may be impacting your well being such as for example family and relationship issues, substance abuse, depression, or anxiety, and health challenges. I will help you guide you to learn to communicate your true feelings and take the emotional risks needed to develop healthier dynamics leading to more meaningful and connected experiences in your relationships and in your life.
As part of my desire to satisfy the needs of people who are located in different locations or who have difficulty physically or emotionally traveling, I offer sessions using a face-to-face video conferencing platform called ZOOM that allows you to have confidential counselling from the privacy of your home.

Breath Work sessions are accompanied by music, dimmed lights, a cozy blanket and pillow, and take place on a yoga mat with me as your supportive guide.
They begin with a consultation to go over your goals, fears, needs, and questions. I will help you discharge anger, grief, regrets, fears, and any other emotion holding you back by circulating your energy through your breath. Many people reach a cathartic and sometimes, spiritual awakening after multiple sessions, and become more and more in touch with their peaceful place. To complete our session we will discuss your experience, what you felt and saw, your new awareness, and how you can integrating them into your life. Typically multiple sessions are suggested over a period of a number of days or weeks.
Somatics is a field within bodywork and movement studies which emphasizes internal physical perception and experience. The term is used in movement therapy to signify approaches based on the soma, or "the body as perceived from within." (wikipedia)
Using body awareness techniques I will help you regulate your nervous system from experiences of trauma that have affected your sense of vitality and power in the world. I will start by gently expanding your emotional ability to feel sensations coming from traumatic experiences such as accidents, attachment trauma, sexual assault etc. Building the ability to move our way through the immobility response by allowing the sensations one bit at a time to work our way out of the fear responses that got stuck in our bodies. Building a senses of safety and a capacity to deal and feel scary sensations over time.
I offer experiential photo therapy sessions as a way to celebrate your relationship to your spouse or partner. They are structured to bring out your inner feelings in connection to your partner. I guide you through poses and invites that often release a wave of emotions. All expressions are a welcome opening up of your true feelings and are meant to give you a loving and documented connection to your loved one. We will have a consultation a week prior before our photo session to develop an outline of how to work together and give you a transformative experience. Photo Therapy is fun, loving, connective and is meant to celebrate your relationship and have it documented in either a beautiful heirloom album or wall portraits as a reminder of your experience & connection to eachother.

My therapeutic style is warm, soft, engaging, expressive and based on the foundation of building a sense of safety and connection between us.
The style of psychotherapy I practice is transpersonal & informed by AEDP, the focus of feelings in the here and now in relationship to each-other, somatic body awareness and attachment theory. I am available to discuss what these terms mean and what they may look like in a session together.
Many years of experience as a mother, a portrait photographer working with families, children, corporations, doctors, lawyers, counsellors and leaders, and a history of sexual and attachment trauma inform and influence my therapeutic work & style.
People who are looking for a deeper sense of connection & engagement to their therapist, have experienced unsettling or disappointing experiences in therapy in the past, and are looking for ways to deepen their mindfulness practices, body awareness, sense of safety, trust and emotional regulation will benefit from working with me.
Your are courageous for coming here and being curious about seeking help. Your drive to heal in connection is a testament to your growth and evolution toward healing and emotional expansion.
