My name is Allison Cordner and I live in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. (Eastern Standard Time New York) .
My therapeutic style is transpersonal/experiential and includes approaches such as family systems theory, which means I will ask you questions about your family history and look at how it may connect to your current struggles. I also combine somatic trauma exercises, Person-Centered (Rogerian) Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, Bowen Family Systems Therapy along with various therapeutic approaches within the framework of Transpersonal Psychology
I am passionate about working with male & female clients to support them to develop vulnerable connections, joy, and intimacy with themselves, others and the world. The first step is becoming aware of the story and beliefs that drive the patterns that are not serving you. I will , at a natural pace invite you to take emotional risks and reveal feelings, and thoughts that you may normally not express.
I bring a lot of sensitivity, acceptance, and interest in clients who struggle with childhood trauma, rape, rage/temper management struggles, addictions to porn, substances and other destructive behaviours as well as intimacy struggles.
I can be available for online sessions using an application called Zoom. I work with individuals, couples and groups.
I am currently in my final semester and will be receiving my RTC accreditation by late 2019 early 2020 depending on admin processing times. Until I am accredited our sessions will be considered coaching/support sessions. Session are charged on a sliding scale from 85$ before tax-130$ for a 50 minute session.
Student member of ACCT Association of Cooperative Counselling Therapists of Canada. (I will update once my accreditation has gone through)
